Lindy Smith is a highly experienced cake designer and author of over six cake decorating books including Bake Me I’m Yours…Cookie and Celebrate with a Cake.  As an accredited demonstrator of the British Sugarcraft Guild, Lindy travels widely, sharing her extensive knowledge with fellow sugarcrafters, and her trade stand can usually be found at most of the major UK sugarcraft shows.  She teaches workshops in her hometown of Buckinghamshire as well as overseas, which are always popular. Lindy first became interested in designing cakes after her own wedding in 1991. She started out with experimenting with different techniques in her kitchen and now runs a highly successful cake design company called Lindy’s Inspirational Cakes, which produces unusual and innovative, highly personalised wedding cakes.   She also provides a mail-order service and on-line shop for sugarcraft equipment. 

Her gorgeous wedding cakes are frequently featured in wedding and cake craft magazines such as Wedding Cakes – A Design Source and Wedding Ideas. She has also appeared on numerous TV programmes including The Generation Game and she presented a sugarcraft series on Good Food Live.
