BOOK REVIEW: Naughty But Nice Cross Stitch

By Marie | Tue 13th Apr 2010 @ 10:34am

Book Cover for Naughty But Nice Cross Stitch

Naughty But Nice Cross Stitch by Claire Crompton is a lovely book by David & Charles publishers who are renowned for making brilliant cross stitch books.  If you are into quirky projects or are looking for something a bit different then this is the book for you.

I love the fun element with sayings such as 'one day i'm going to diet - the other 364 i'll eat what I like' and 'Dinner is ready when the smoke alarm goes off'.  There are loads of different projects, over 50 in fact, that range from glasses case and photo album to bags and samplers.

The cross stitch charts are easy to follow and all come with colour keys and DMC thread numbers so you can buy the exact same thread used in the project.  Don't worry if you are new to cross stitch as this book includes all the basic informtion to get you started at the back of the book.

There are 9 chapters which are:
Ageing Disgracefully
Work Woes
Born to Shop
Domestic Bliss
Christmas Chaos
Food for Thought
Men are from Mars...
Family Fun
Saving the Planet
