Looking For Sewing Patterns? Check Out These Books

If you are into needlecraft and are looking for fresh new sewing patterns then books can be a great place to start.  There are some lovely books that have recently been published and I want them all!!!!  So whether you are looking for quick projects, something for beginners or something more specific such as applique patterns, here are my recommendations of the best of the bunch.

Create gorgeous homemade gifts with this fantastic new book by Sally Southern.  You don’t need to have a lot of sewing skills or time to create the projects in this book, which range from a funky jewellery set and a cosmetics case to bags, patchwork hangings and more.

For Beginners

If you have recently bought a sewing machine and are not sure what all the bits and pieces do then this book is for you!  It covers all the basic information about how to use your sewing machine as well as lots of tips, ideas, inspiration and projects to get you started.

For the Little Ones in your Life

If you are looking for gift ideas for a new baby or toddler this book includes lots of great projects from bibs and baby socks to playmats and cushions.

Just Because your Want It!

This is one of my favourite sewing books, I am a BIG Tilda fan and this is one of the latest books in the Tilda series.  The designs have a real country-chic, must-have feel about them and you will just want to complete all the projects in this book and re-design your whole house around it!  Projects include handbags, cushions, throws, cuddly toys and lots more.  A must-have for the sewing fanatics bookshelf!
