Keeping The Children Entertained This Summer

By Marie | Fri 23rd Jul 2010 @ 10:31am

The summer holidays are here and the timetable of family fun begins!  Catching up with friends, enjoying the continuous summer sunshine will rate highly on many families list of things to do this break.  We thought that a handy list of papercraft activities may also be helpful as part of the children’s entertainment programme!

The colour my card animal templates are always a big hit with the younger children (and parents too).  Each kit contains six fabulous colour co-ordinated animal templates from a rabbit right through to an elephant and a dog, all stored in a handy plastic storage pouch.

All you have to do is pop out the pieces and follow the handy guide to build up a decoupage image of each animal. Our top tip is to name the pieces and keep each animal together in its own self-seal bag. Make your own handmade greeting cards using the Colour My World template again and again, by recycling your scrap paper and card.

Stencilling is another great past time – and we have come up with something that can be used on long car journeys too:

Made by Fiskars, who are known for their craft tools, this really handy stencil set can be used to create custom paper, card and foil designs for cards, invitations and even scrapbook pages.
It also comes with four great stencils, ShapeBoss tray, a two-layer stencil and dual-tipped embossing stylus.

We also have a fabulous range of peel off stickers to help make designs that little bit different!

Whatever you have planned during the summer holidays, I hope you have a great time!
