Father’s Day Card Ideas

By Marie | Wed 10th Jun 2009 @ 10:45am

I have been really organised this year and have made my father’s day card already  Normally I design a card for my dad that either has a fishing theme or a gardening theme but I am sure he must be getting sick of these so I decided to do something a bit different. Let me know what you think of it?

If you are stuck for ideas here are a few designs to inspire you, taken from a great book called Ultimate Celebration Cards, which features tons of card designs for all occasions.

Hi CraftyB, I remember making cards for my parents when I was younger and it always consisted of brightly coloured card and glitter...however this can get messy. There is a huge selection of stickers around these days which are great for kids, so perhaps have a brightly coloured card and then get the children involved by using stickers to decorate it. Plus, I love children's writing so why not get them to write 'to my daddy' or 'happy daddy's day' on the front in felt tip pen or (if you trust them) use the funky Sakura pens that you can buy. I think cards from kids always look better when they are a bit creased and still a bit sticky from the glue so just let them use their imagination. Hope that helps. Marie

These are lovely cards - but do you have any suggestions for a Daddy's Day Card from little children? Thanks
